Eleven cleared in connection with 2007 structured bond scandal
An Athens appeals court on Tuesday cleared 11 people in connection with the 2007 structured bond scandal while convicting two members of an Athens brokerage firm.
The court upheld the appeals of the 11 - chiefly pension fund managers and investment bankers - against suspended terms they were given four years ago for mediating in connection with the sale of the 280-million-euro bond.
Parliament's plenary chamber is given a revamp
Work to renovate the plenary chamber of Greece's Parliament was nearing completion on Monday. The revamp is a continuation of efforts to modernize the House, which began with the installation of an electronic voting system in 2014, and has included maintenance work to the building's metal roof. "I'll put it simply: 'Perouze' is made for the Herod Atticus Theater. Shortish, in two acts of 45 minutes each, it is theatrical and has very interesting music with a variety of influences - Viennese operetta, Greek folk songs, the Doric harmonies of Byzantine music - and of course its cliches.

Flight recorder of Mirage found off Skyros
Hellenic Navy divers on Saturday located at a depth of 800 meters north of Skyros signals from the flight recorder of the Mirage 2000-5 which plunged into the sea in the central Aegean on Thursday, killing the pilot Captain Giorgos Baltadoros.

Greek parliament to support family of Mirage pilot
The Greek parliament announced on Friday it will support financially the family of 34-year-old Greek Air Force pilot Giorgos Baltadoros who died when his fighter jet plunged into the sea in the central Aegean on Thursday.
