Water polo triumph for Greek women's team
The Greek women's national water polo team won the first ever LEN Europa Cup on Saturday to return to the fore of the game after a period of decline.
The players of coach Giorgos Morfesis beat the Netherlands in Friday's semifinal 8-6, through a 6-0 partial score that turned their 2-3 deficit to an 8-3 lead.

Athens mayor to receive Skopje counterpart in Greek capital
Athens Mayor Giorgos Kaminis has invited his counterpart from Skopje, Petre Shilegov, on an official visit to the Greek capital amid ongoing name talks between the two officials' respective countries.
Shilegov is due to arrive in Athens on Friday morning and to meet with Kaminis in his office at City Hall before making statements to the press.

Euroleague triumphs for Greens and Reds
The tough week in the Euroleague has started triumphantly for the Greek teams, as Panathinaikos trounced hitherto joint leader Khimki in Athens and Olympiakos downed European champion Fenerbahce in Turkey.
On Tuesday the Greens eclipsed Khimki 93-65 at the Olympic Sports Hall with an outstanding all-around performance that gave the Russian team no chance on the night.
