National Library turns the page with a new visual identity
The National Library of Greece will be moving into its new home with a whole new visual identity. The open competition for the institution's rebranding attracted proposals from 34 firms, all of which underscored the high quality of work being done by Greece's graphic design community.

Koumentakis appointed new creative director of Greek National Opera
Composer Giorgos Koumentakis was appointed new creative director of the Greek National Opera on Thursday, following a decision by Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou.
Koumentakis, formerly in charge of the company's Alternative Stage, will succeed maestro Myron Michailidis, starting on February 3.

Former chiefs of Athens municipal radio facing indictment
An Athens prosecutor has recommended the indictment of 15 former executives and directors at Athens 9.84 radio, run by City Hall, and one businessman on charges they wasted millions of euros in municipal funding in the period from 2003 to 2010.
The prosecutor has also asked for the parliamentary immunity of SYRIZA lawmaker Giorgos Kyritsis to be lifted.

ND spokesman plays down impact of Trump victory on US ties
New Democracy spokesman Giorgos Koumoutsakos on Wednesday reacted to the outcome of the US presidential election playing down the potential impact of Donald Trump's victory on Greece's ties with the United States.
