The Turkish foreign minister and EU foreign policy chief are scheduled to have a bilateral meeting in Antalya, southern Turkey on June 18. 

During the bilateral meeting, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu and Josep Borrell will review "all aspects of the relations" ahead of EU summit that will be held on June 24-25, said a statement by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.

Russia has declared a Bulgarian embassy official persona non grata, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. 

Hazal Kaya, a prominent Turkish actress, has been selected as the new goodwill ambassador of Turkey by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).

UNFPA Turkey announced the selection through a live broadcast from its social media account with the participation of Kaya.

Ljubljana – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has downgraded its forecast for Slovenia’s growth in 2021 from 5.2% to 3.7%. For 2022, it forecasts 4.5% growth, Bernardin Akitoby, chief of the IMF mission for Slovenia, said on Friday. This means Slovenia’s economy would reach the pre-pandemic level next year.

Greece welcomed on Wednesday an agreement between the United States and Russia to extend a key nuclear arms control treaty for five years, describing it as "a key element for European and global security." 

The Bulgarian economy shrunk by 4.6 percent last year, and in 2021 the country expects a recovery and a new growth of up to3.6 percent. This is the conclusion of International Monetary Fund experts voiced in the framework of routine consultations.

She specified that the two leaders talked on the phone last week.
She added that Biden "did not refrain from expressing concern" over Russia's actions, Reuters reports.
