The Middle East must leave 40 percent of its oil reserves in the ground, and China, the US and Russia most of their coal if global warming is to be curbed, researchers said Jan. 7.
     

BELGRADE - The exhibition Fifth Report, which focuses on climate change, will open at the Gallery of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Belgrade on Tuesday, the Science Promotion Centre has stated.

The 194 states that participated at the United Nations (UN) Lima Climate Change Conference, which began in Peru on December 1, finally reached an agreement on the necessary measures to tackle climate change early on Sunday.

In a new report on the impact of global warming, the bank said sharp temperature rises would cut deeply into crop yields and water supplies in many areas and possibly set back efforts to bring populations out of poverty.
