As people want to buy New Year's Eve national lottery tickets before they are sold out, long lines are being seen in front of the famous lottery booth in Istanbul's Eminönü district.

The Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has decided to close the seafront on the mouth of the Golden Horn to fish sandwich-selling boats.

The Istanbul Municipality has challenged the result of a concession tender that was held for idle warehouses at the city's landmark Haydarpaşa and Sirkeci train stations.

Galata and Beyazıt towers, two of Istanbul's most iconic structures, were lit up in pink respectively on Oct. 14 and Oct. 15, as part of events marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

According to reports, Ieronymos visited the Patriarchate to wish Vartholomaios a happy name day.

Public beaches run by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality will begin serving this summer on June 4.
