President Joe Biden is in Northern Ireland to participate in marking the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement that brought peace to this part of the United Kingdom after the U.S. helped negotiate an end to decades of sectarian violence that killed thousands.

Britain is ramping up a feud with the European Union by pressing on with a plan to rip up parts of the post-Brexit trade deal it signed with the bloc.

Ljubljana – Slovenia has welcomed the deal on future relations between the EU and UK. The Foreign Ministry said it served as a basis for an “ambitious and comprehensive” agreement that would determine preferential treatment of the UK as a trading partner.

The UK and EU have reached agreement on how rules in the Brexit divorce deal relating to Northern Ireland's borders will work in practice.

 This is a Brexit breakthrough.

 The two sides have reached an "agreement in principle" on issues including border control posts and the supply of medicines.

AGERPRES special correspondent Florentina Peia reports: President Klaus Iohannis stated that the agreement regarding the exit of the United Kingdom from the community bloc announced on Thursday doesn't change anything in what regards the Romanians in the UK and said he is optimistic that this agreement will be approved in the European Council.

Politicians of two parties from two neighboring countries, with courage, determination and a vision, decided to open a new chapter of collaboration, communication and the development of their relations as a whole, for the good of their people.
