Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chair Devlet Bahçeli has criticized İYİ (Good) Party lawmaker Lütfü Türkkan for swearing at a protestor in the eastern province of Bingöl.

"To swear at the sister of a martyr is indecent, dishonest, and the language of the enemy," Bahçeli said on Nov. 9 at his party's parliamentary group meeting, without naming Türkkan.

İYİ (Good) Party lawmaker Lütfi Türkkan has made a mistake by swearing at a protestor, the party leader, Meral Akşener, has said, but noted that he apologized for the incident. 

İYİ (Good) Party Group Deputy Chair Lütfü Türkkan on Nov. 6 resigned from his post at the party after he was accused of swearing at a protester in eastern province of Bingöl.

Video footage posted on social media showed Türkkan swearing at a relative of a person killed by the terror group PKK protesting İYİ Party leader Meral Akşener.

Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on Nov. 6 said he wants the Ankara and Istanbul mayors of the party to continue their duties in the face of a presidential election.

"I want our mayors to continue their duties," Kılıçdaroğlu told Karar TV.

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) must distance itself from the terrorist PKK, Meral Akşener, the leader of the opposition İYİ (Good) Party, has said.

"We have been stressing this for months: We put the HDP next to the PKK," Akşener said during her party's parliamentary group meeting yesterday, suggesting the HDP has close ties to the terror organization.

The youthful vice-president of Turkey's main opposition Republican People's Party, CHP, says President Erdogan's 20-year rule will end at the next elections.

Marking the fourth anniversary of the İYİ (Good) Party, chairwoman Meral Akşener has vowed to come to power in the next elections and make Turkey a much more beautiful country. 

"We are today at a crossroads because Turkey is waiting for a new call," Akşener told her electorates at a meeting for celebrating the fourth anniversary of her party in Istanbul. 

The oppositional alliance has accelerated works for drafting a road map for replacing the current executive-presidential system with a strengthened parliamentary model and will launch a debate between the leaders to finalize it by December of this year, senior oppositional leaders have said.

Lawyers of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan filed a criminal complaint to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on Oct. 18 regarding the allegation of "political murders" by main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and İYİ (Good) Party executives.

İYİ (Good) Party leader Meral Akşener has criticized the government's way of conducting energy policies, saying Turkey became dependent on Russia for its energy needs.

Turkey faces the outcomes of failure in these policies, as seen with the recent price hikes in energy, Akşener said on Oct. 13, addressing her party's lawmakers at the parliament.
