Fuel prices are not set by us, we do not produce crude oil, said Bulgarian Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov, referring to yesterday's protests against high fuel prices and tax increases for older cars, Focus News Agency reports.

The Ministers of Finance and Social Policy - Vladislav Goranov and Biser Petkov on 25th of October presented the draft budget for 2019 to the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions (CITUB). The draft envisages an increase in all wages in the budget sector by 10% on average from 1st of January, reports BNT.

The Minister of Finance, Vladislav Goranov, proposes to limit bus transport, and the purpose of this is to give people an incentive to choose to travel by train.

To give a chance to trains, according to the finance minister, the government need to consider other routes for buses or an option not to move so often. The idea is for people to rediscover train travel.
