The appointment last month of Drasko Milinovic to head the Communications Regulatory Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina has sparked criticism because of his controversial record in charge of RTRS, the public broadcaster in Bosnia's Serb-dominated Republika Srpska entity.

The US Supreme Court has confirmed that it long ago dismissed an appeal by a Bosnian Serb for it to hear his case against the Office of the High Representative, OHR - the international body overseeing the 1995 Dayton peace deal in Bosnia.

Turkey is contributing to the stability in the Balkans both politically and culturally, said an international envoy.

"Turkey is a factor of stability in the Balkans both in the political and cultural area," High Representative for Bosnia and Herzegovina Valentin Inzko said told Anadolu Agency in an exclusive interview.

Bosnians, at home and among the diaspora communities in the US, Europe, and Australia, are in fact affecting change outside the political process by investing in the country's grassroots economic, cultural, civil society, and educational development. These commendable efforts will take time to develop and mature.

The High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina heard at its session on Wednesday that 30 per cent of war crimes suspects cannot be reached by prosecutors as they are living outside the country or have absconded.

It was recommended at the HJPC session that a top-level regional conference be organised to address the issue.

The Appeals Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed a verdict under which Bosnian Serb former soldier Zdravko Lubarda was sentenced to six years for participation in the persecution of Bosniak civilians in the eastern Rogatica area and former police reservist Ozren Planojevic was acquitted.

Bosnia and Herzegovina will be suspended from the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the PACE, for failing to appoint new representatives to that body.

According to the Council of Europe's Rules, member states must nominate new delegations to the Parliamentary Assembly within six months of the day of an election.

The Appeals Chamber of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Friday confirmed the December 2018 verdict, which found former Bosnian Serb soldier Milan Todovic guilty of raping a Bosniak woman in the eastern Bosnian town of Foca during the 1992-5 war and holding her in sexual captivity.

Komsic represents Croats in the tripartite presidency.
