Health Committee happy with more funds as it debates 2022, 2023 budgets
Ljubljana – The parliamentary Health Committee discussed the draft national budgets for 2022 and 2023 when the Health Ministry’s budgets will stand at EUR 683 million and almost EUR 524 million, respectively. The drop in funds in 2023 is largely a result of less funds envisaged for managing the Covid-19 epidemic.

Gov't approves final version of state budget draft for 2021
The Government on Monday evening approved the final version of the state budget law for 2021, with the approval of the Legislative Council. Head of the Chamber of Deputies and PNL (National Liberal Party) leader Ludovic Orban stated that, after the final adoption, with the approval of the Legislative Council, the state budget draft will most likely be sent to the Parliament on Tuesday.

Orban: Draft law needs more complex negotiations; there is no increase in taxes, fees
The President of the Chamber of Deputies, Ludovic Orban, the leader of PNL (National Liberal Party), on Tuesday stated that there will be no increase in taxes, fees in the 2021 budget, adding that there is no delay in making the budget, just some talks are "a little more complex" in the context of a coalition government. "As far as I know, there is no increase in taxes and fees.
The State Budget for 2020 Was Approved at First Reading
Today, MPs on voted to approve the state budget at first reading. The opposition Bulgarian Socilaist Party (BSP) and the liberal Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) were against the budget framework. The budget was supported by GERB, BNT reported.
