Serbia, Cyprus sign three memorandums on cooperation

BELGRADE - The governments of Serbia and Cyprus signed on Thursday in Belgrade three memorandums on cooperation at a ceremony also attended by Presidents Aleksandar Vucic and Nikos Christodoulides.

Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic and Cypriot FM Constantinos Kombos signed a MoU on cooperation between the diplomatic academies of the foreign ministries of the two countries.

Mitsotakis and Christodoulides to take part in inaugural Greece-Cyprus High-Level Cooperation Council

After jointly attending the humanitarian conference convened by French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides returned to Athens for the inaugural Greece-Cyprus High-Level Cooperation Council. The Council is scheduled to commence at 12 p.m., with joint press statements to follow.

Cyprus gov’t defends economic policy

Cyprus' Finance Ministry fended off accusations fired by the opposition that government policy has taken its toll on the economy.

"The Cypriot economy continues its upward trend and, unlike other European countries which are entering a recession, Cyprus recorded the second highest GDP growth rate in the eurozone, after Spain, during the first half of the year," the ministry said.

PM meets Cyprus Parliament president, discusses Cyprus issue and East Med security

Mitsotakis to visit Cyprus Monday

Prime Minter Kyriakos Mitsotakis will visit Cyprus Monday.

The visit had been postponed amid the wildfires crisis.

His first stop will be the military cemetery in the district of Makedonitissa, where the tombs of the Greek and Cypriot soldiers killed during the Turkish invasion of July 1974 are located.

Dendias to pay official visit to Cyprus on Thursday

Defence Minister Nikos Dendias will make an official visit to Cyprus on Thursday to meet with country officials.

He will first be received by Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides at the Presidential Mansion and will later have a private meeting with the Defence Minister Michalis Georgallas. After the talks the two ministers will make statements to the press.
