Serbian President to visit Iran

BELGRADE - Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran to meet with the country's senior officials.

On April 17, Nikolic will talk with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, and Vice President for Science and Technology Affairs Sorena Sattari, the president's press office said in a release.

Bulgaria 'Might Become Iran-EU Transit Corridor'

Bulgaria might turn into a corridor transporting goods from Iran to the European Union, an Iranian official has said.

A meeting took place on Sunday between Mohsen Jalalpour, who heads the country's commerce and industry chamber, and Bulgaria's Ambassador to Tehran, Hristo Polendakov, TASS news agency reports citing Iran's IRNA.

Ultraconservative to head Iran's top clerical body

Iran's Assembly of Experts, the clerics who appoint and can dismiss the country's supreme leader, picked an ultraconservative as their new chairman in a surprise appointment on March 10.
