The KFOR mission in Kosovo called on all parties to refrain from actions that could fuel tensions or cause escalation.
The Mission statement states that KFOR, led by NATO, increased its presence in four municipalities in the north of Kosovo this morning, following the latest developments in that area.

BELGRADE - The Serbian Armed Forces will remain in full combat readiness until further notice following a "brutal use of force by Albin Kurti and his forces against Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija," said a statement released after Saturday's session of the Serbian National Security Council.

Great Britain's Ambassador in Pristina, Nicholas Abbott, said that it is time for the so-called Kosovo to officially propose the draft statute of the Community of Serbian Municipalities - CSM.

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Tuesday that, following Monday's round of the Brussels dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, it was "clear as day" that Pristina had no intent of engaging in constructive discussions on a Community of Serb Municipalities or any other aspect of normalisation of relations.

BRUSSELS - Speaking to reporters after Monday's round of the Brussels dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said the dialogue was in a difficult state and that Pristina's chief negotiator Besnik Bislimi had acted in a scandalous way.

BELGRADE - At a meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Jean-Pierre Lacroix and UNMIK head Caroline Ziadeh, Serbian First Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic said Serbia was committed to dialogue on Kosovo-Metohija as the only way to resolve current problems.

BRUSSELS - A meeting between the director of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic and the EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak began in Brussels shortly after 9 am on Monday.

They met ahead of a new round of technical dialogue between chief negotiators.

BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Friday he had discussed with EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak an upcoming round of the Brussels dialogue and the political and security situation in Kosovo-Metohija, with special emphasis on an escalation of tensions in the north of the province by Pristina's PM Alb

As EU Spokesman Peter Stano announced yesterday, Lajcak will be in Kosovo today in order to prepare the next steps in the dialogue.
Lajcak will also visit Serbia tomorrow, where he will meet with President Aleksandar Vucic.

BRUSSELS - The EU special representative for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak says a draft statute of the Community of Serb Municipalities, presented by a management team at a May 2 meeting in Brussels, is not final, but that it is "an important starting point for the upcoming discussions on the Chief Negotiators' level."
