Serbian government adopts 2024 budget bill
BELGRADE - The Serbian government adopted the 2024 budget bill on Thursday, the Ministry of Finance confirmed to Tanjug.
It said the bill was expected to be passed by the parliament by the end of this month.
The bill envisions a 3.5 pct GDP growth rate in 2024.

Budget posts 49 billion liras surplus
The central government budget produced a surplus of 48.6 billion Turkish Liras ($1.8 billion) in July after posting a large deficit of 219.6 billion liras in June, the Treasury and Finance Ministry has said.
Revenues grew 156 percent last month from a year ago to 504.4 billion liras, with tax collection rising nearly 177 percent.

Budget posts 220 billion liras of deficit
The central government budget produced a deficit of 219.6 billion Turkish Liras ($8.36 billion) in June, the Treasury and Finance Ministry has said.
Revenues increased by 48.2 percent last month from a year ago to 268 billion liras, with tax revenues rising 51.4 percent year-on-year to 231 billion liras.

Primary budget surplus at €2.16 bln at end-June
The Greek state budget recorded a primary surplus of 2.166 billion euros in the January-June 2023 period, up from a budget target for a surplus of €415 million and a primary deficit of €3.425 billion in the same period last year, the Finance Ministry said on Monday.

Greek Finance Ministry tables supplementary budget
The National Economy and Finance Ministry tabled a supplementary state budget of 700 million euros on Wednesday to cover additional expenditures related to the government's support in 202 measures included in a new economy bill.

Staikouras: Growth overshoot eliminates primary deficit
The primary budget deficit for 2022 came to zero, compared to a forecast of 1.6%, Finance Minister Christos Staikouras told the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, thanks to the higher-than-expected growth.
Greece's economy covered a gap of nearly 3.4 billion euros.
World Bank: Serbia to see 2.3 pct GDP growth in 2023
BELGRADE - In 2023, Serbia will see GDP growth of 2.3 pct - the same as last year - and 3.0 pct and 3.8 pct growth in 2024 and 2025, respectively, and its debt-to-GDP ratio will decline to 55.5 pct this year and to 53.1 pct and 51.5 pct in 2024 and 2025, respectively, the World Bank said in its latest Europe and Central Asia Economic Update.

The institutional sector "State Government" reports a budget deficit of BGN 5.433 billion, which is 4.1% of Bulgaria's gross domestic product (GDP), according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute.
In 2022, the deficit was 4% of GDP, and in the last year before the start of the coronavirus pandemic (2019), a surplus of 2.1% of GDP was reported.
