Greece places Aegean on alert as concerns mount of Turkish provocations
The Aegean has been placed in a state of alert as Athens fears that Turkey may, under the guise of migrant search and rescue operations, instigate provocations on Greek islets.
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan continued his incendiary rhetoric yesterday, saying that "one day [Greeks] may find themselves in a situation where they will have to seek compassion."
Costume wigs found at border point to orchestrated plan
A collection of costume wigs discovered on the bank of Evros River on the Greek-Turkish land border points to an orchestrated plan to disguise male migrants as women, reports suggested on Thursday.
The long-haired wigs were found in the area of Feres.
Turkey, Russia agree on ceasefire in Idlib
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin said on March 5 that they have reached agreements that could end fighting in northwest Syria.
Erdoğan, standing alongside Putin after six hours of talks in Moscow, said the cease-fire will come into force in Idlib at midnight.

Turkey says preparing human rights case over Greece's treatment of migrants
Turkey said on Wednesday it was preparing a case in the European Court of Human Rights over Greece's treatment of migrants, and added the EU has so far made no concrete offer to deal with thousands trying to enter the bloc.
Oda TV journalists arrested over report
An Istanbul court has ordered the arrest of the news editor and a reporter of news website Oda TV over a report on the funeral of a member of the Turkish intelligence service who was killed in Libya.
Oda TV on March 3 showed footage of the funeral in the western province of Manisa, saying the ceremony was held discreetly, without the participation of high-ranking officials.

Erdoğan files 1-million-Turkish Lira case against CHP MP for defamation
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has filed a one-million-Turkish Lira lawsuit against main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) MP Engin Özkoç on accusations that he "insulted the president."
The lawsuit is due to his "impudent remarks" against the president, Erdoğan's lawyer Hüseyin Aydın said on his Twitter account.

European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said he told Turkey on Wednesday that the situation at the border with Greece was unacceptable and Turkey should not encourage further movement of migrants towards the border with EU states.
