Despite flickers of hope, WEF points to out-of-touch elites
One thing was certain at this year's World Economic Forum: Davos and its values are in a state of deep crisis. The decline had become evident even before the start of the annual conference that sees the global elite gather in this lofty village in the snowy Swiss Alps, thanks to a letter penned and published by the WEF's founder, Klaus Schwab.
The World Economic Forum to Begin in Davos Today
The annual meet of World Economic Forum (WEF) will begin today in Davos, reported All India Radio.
World leaders from across the globe will flock to the ski resort town on the Swiss Alps for five days to discuss what's ailing the world amid fears of the global economy sleepwalking into a crisis.

US President Donald Trump told TASS on Friday in Davos that he expects to have dialogue with Russia.
Asked whether he was going to build dialogue with Russia, Trump said: "We hope so."
Trump arrived in Davos on Thursday with "a message of peace and prosperity," and on Friday addressed the World Economic Forum.

Vucic arrives in Davos
DAVOS - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has arrived in Davos for the World Economic Forum (WEF), where he will meet with European and international officials, in particular with leaders of countries that are significant partners of Serbia.
The Serbian delegation headed by Vucic also includes PM Ana Brnabic, who will attend the WEF in her present capacity for the first time.

PM has "important meetings with investors" while in Davos
Brnabic also noted that during her stay at the World Economic Forum in Davos she had several important meetings with investors.
She assessed that the most significant were meetings with companies that already operate in Serbia, and from whom she received confirmation that they are interested in expanding their business.
