Bulgaria is pushing for an end to "discrimination" against the Bulgarian minority in North Macedonia, with Bulgarian Rumen Radev discussing the topic with his Austrian counterpart Alexander Van der Belen on Monday in Vienna.

It is also said that "if Albin Kurti is not interested in the Washington agreement, then that agreement is dead."
As Bolton points out, the important question is what attitude the Biden administration will take towards the Balkans in relation to Trump, but also that Washington is currently dealing more with domestic issues than with foreign policy.

Who would have imagined that certain people here in Athens would reach the point of being glad that Bulgaria is "playing tough" and is blocking the start of North Macedonia's accession talks, so as to wreak vengeance for the treacherous Prespa Agreement that "gave it all away" to our northern neighbours.

After previously saying they saw no reason for it, North Macedonia's main ruling Social Democrats on Monday offered to support an opposition resolution on the country's language and identity in regards to ongoing talks with neighbouring Bulgaria.
