Greece will get investment grade after elections, says central banker
The Greek economy will be upgraded by credit rating agencies to investment-grade level following the national elections on June 25, Bank of Greece Governor Yannis Stournaras asserted on Monday.
The threshold for a ‘safe’ outright majority
If the combined vote of the parties that will remain outside of Parliament in the June 25 election is between 6% and 9%, the crucial threshold for New Democracy in order to win a "safe" outright majority (in the region of 158 seats) will be 40%.
ND leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis wants his party to win a "safe majority" of 158 seats in order to govern with stability.

HFSF’s stake in Attica Bank set to rise to 72%
A legal provision on deferred taxation, for the third time in the last two years, has been triggered by Attica Bank recording a 386.6-million-euro loss for 2022, leading to a new increase in the percentage controlled by bank rescue fund HFSF in Attica's share capital, from the current 69.5% to almost 72%.

Famous singer ‘killed’ in hoax Twitter post
A phony social media account spread fake news on Wednesday that famous Greek singer Nana Mouskouri has passed away.
The gruesome news was announced in a fake Twitter account which carried the name and photo of the acting Minister of Culture and Sports Giorgos Koumendakis, who later posted that the fake account was created by Italian writer Tommaso Debenedetti.
