World's Oldest Shipwreck was Discovered in the Black Sea, About 50 Miles off the Coast of Bulgaria
The world's oldest intact shipwreck, complete with mast, rudders and rowing benches, has been found at the bottom of the Black Sea where it has been lying for more than 2,400 years, reports The Times.

Another 400 refugees to be relocated from Lesvos camp to Greek mainland
Greece's immigration authorities plan on Friday to ferry another 400 asylum seekers from the squalid Moria camp on the island of Lesvos to more suitable facilities on the mainland.
The fresh transfer comes on top of the arrival of 107 refugees from Lesvos to Piraeus in the early hours of Friday after a sailing ban enforced amid strong winds on Thursday was lifted later in the day.

A Greek-Indian consortium has been awarded the contract to build a new airport on the island of Crete, a consortium official said on Friday.
Ariadne Airport Group, a joint venture between India's GMR Airports and Greek contractor GEK Terna, was the preferred bidder for the 850 million euro project and will begin construction at the start of next year.

Santorini Aphrodite retrieved in smuggling bust
A 2,000-year-old statue of the ancient Greek goddess of love Aphrodite, one of a batch of antiquities stolen from a museum storeroom on the resort island of Santorini, has been recovered from traffickers in a car trunk, Greek police said Wednesday.

Truck overturns near Thermopyles, traffic disrupted
A truck with Bulgarian license plates overturned on the Athens-Lamia national highway, near the junction for Thermopyles, early on Monday.
It was not known what caused the truck, which was carrying laundry detergent, to flip over at 7.15 a.m. as it headed south.
There were no reports of injuries.
