It was an unpleasant surprise to hear that you participated along with other US academics in preparing a plan for Greece to exit the euro in 2015. The feeling was even harder, since you still believe that it was "carefully set" and seem rather disappointed for not finally implemented.

Regling puts Grexit cost at 50 bln euros

Next finance minister facing gauntlet
As Athens digests the results of Sunday's general election, eurozone finance ministers will have Greece as one of the main courses at Monday afternoon's Eurogroup in Brussels. This had already been decided last month, as today's meeting intends to send a message to the new government, even if it is struggling to wake up from a night of celebrations.

My friend was wrong. There is a Greek expression for virtuous circle - and the country may finally be about to enter one with this Sunday's general election.
