Greenpeace warns Tsipras on further hydrocarbon exploration
The head of the Greek chapter of Greenpeace, Nikos Charalambides, has written to Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras ahead of the latter's scheduled talks with Cypriot and Egyptian leaders aimed at broadening trilateral cooperation in hydrocarbon exploration.
Second body found floating off Athens' southern coast
A new body was recovered in the sea off the coast of Glyfada, a suburb in the south of Athens, the coast guard said on Tuesday.
The body was found floating by a man who was sailing out in his boat and immediately alerted authorities, the coast guard said.
According to initial information, it belongs to a man of about 50 years of age.

Eco groups seek to block drilling off and on Greece's western coast
The local branches of conservation groups WWF and Greenpeace have called upon Greek lawmakers to vote against an Environment Ministry bill green-lighting hydrocarbon exploration and extraction in Block 2 of the Ionian Sea, as well as the onshore blocks Arta-Preveza, Aitoloacarnania, and Northwestern Peloponnese.

Building a sustainable future
A broad spectrum of people rallied in central Athens Sunday in support of free expression, democracy, peace and 'green' development. About 50 nongovernmental organizations, including Greenpeace, Doctors Without Borders, ActionAid and Fair Trade Hellas, took part in this year's 'Break Free' event, which culminated in a march from Thiseio to Zappeio.

Greenpeace praises Bornova Municipality of İzmir over photovoltaic facility
A photovoltaic facility constructed by İzmir's Bornova Municipality has attracted plaudits from environmentalist group Greenpeace, Doğan News Agency has reported.
The facility, consisting of 250 solar panels, is part of a project that was launched to make better use of energy sources.
