Finland is world's happiest country for seventh year: Study
Finland remained the world's happiest country for a seventh straight year in an annual U.N. sponsored World Happiness Report published on March 20.
And Nordic countries kept their places among the 10 most cheerful, with Denmark, Iceland and Sweden trailing Finland.
Compared to the previous year, Türkiye has climbed eight places in the list and is now ranked 98th.
Bulgaria Spends 1.87% of GDP on Defense, NATO Report Reveals
Bulgaria's defense expenditure for the year 2023 amounted to $1.9 billion (3.47 billion BGN), representing 1.87 percent of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), as detailed in the annual report released by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. The growth rate of the Greek economy was set at 2% during 2023, well below government estimates (2.4%) and those of the IMF (2.5%), OECD (2.4%), the European Commission and IOBE (2.2%).
Brnabic: Serbian GDP growth at 3.8 pct in January, expected to accelerate in Q1 2024
BELGRADE - Serbia's government council tasked with coordinating activities and measures aimed at promoting GDP growth said on Friday January growth had been at a higher-than-anticipated 3.8 pct and could be expected to grow further in Q1 2024.
The council's session was chaired by PM Ana Brnabic.

Cyprus saw growth of 2.5% in 2023
Cyprus' economic growth is estimated at 2.5% in real terms in 2023. At current prices, the increase in gross domestic product (GDP) is estimated at 7.1%, according to the Statistical Service of Cyprus (CyStat).

Mali: Serbian economy continues to grow, Q4 2023 GDP growth at 3.8 pct
BELGRADE - The Serbian economy continues to grow and develop, as confirmed by the latest statistical data indicating that Serbia's GDP grew by 3.8 pct in Q4 2023, compared to 2.5 pct growth during the entire last year, Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said in a statement.
