In an extensive foreign policy speech on Tuesday, French President Emmanuel Macron called for a new global economic order, citing the "unprecedented crisis" in the market economy, the Associated Press reported.

Brazil on Aug. 26 rejected aid from G7 countries to fight wildfires in the Amazon, with a top official telling French President Emmanuel Macron to take care of "his home and his colonies."             

The money to go to afforest Europe, said President of the US Onyx Lorenzoni.

Brazil has refused G-7 assistance to fight fires in the Amazon, BTA reported.

"We thank (the G7 for the assistance you offered), but these funds will probably be more appropriate to spend on afforestation in Europe," said Presidential Chancellor Onyx Lorenzoni.

Germany wants the EU to reach a trade agreement with the US as quickly as possible, German Chancellor Angela Merkel told reporters today.

Speaking on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Biarritz, Merkel said she would like to see EU-US talks deepened as soon as possible.

European Council President Donald Tusk said yesterday that trade wars should stop. If the US uses customs for political reasons, it will endanger the world.

At a press conference to open the G7 summit, Tusk said that "Trade deals and the reform of WTO are better than trade wars,"

G-7 leaders discussed the return to the G-8 format with Russia's participation at a summit in the French city of Biarritz, Kyodo news agency reported, citing sources from Japanese government circles.

No details were provided about the content of the interview, and an agency source said the information "will never be disclosed".
