Drugs worth billions of liras seized in operations against PKK, Gülenists: Interior minister
Turkey seized drugs worth 4 billion Turkish Liras in operations targeting the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and drugs worth 75 million liras in operations against the Gülen movement, Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu said on Nov. 23 in a budget commission meeting in parliament.

A court in Ankara began hearing on Nov. 22 a case into 73 suspects in the most extensive case yet against the Gülenist organization that is widely believed to have been behind the July 15 coup attempt in Turkey, with the leader of the group, Fethullah Gülen, being one of the prime suspects.

Law Suit Against Fethullah Gulen Starts in Turkey
The legal suit against Islamic cleric Fethullah Gulen and 72 of his supporters, accused of the coup attempt on July 15, has started in Ankara, reported BGNES.
The Prosecutor's Office has demanded a life sentence for Gulen and the nucleus which organised and carried out the coup.

Relatives of coup attempt victims to be exempted from military service under new decree
The sons and brothers of victims of the July 15 coup attempt will not be forced to conduct military service unless they desire to do so, according to a new decree law issued on Nov. 22 as part of the state of emergency, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.

Turkish President Disappointed With Obama Administration
Turkish President Recep Erdogan has stated that he is disappointed with the administration of Barack Obama due to its approach to refugees from the Middle East and the fact that it did not extradite Fethullah Gulen whom Ankara accuses of the coup attempt in July.
"They did not take up these events and did not approach these issues seriously," stated Erdogan on CBS.
