"Remember, remember, the 5th of November, gunpowder, treason and plot," goes the saying after the failed assassination attempt against the Protestant English King James I by a group of Catholics in 1605. It just so happens that the presidential election in the United States is also on November 5, and comes after two failed assassination attempts against Republican candidate Donald Trump.
