Syrian father loses son, wife in capsized boat in Bodrum
A Syrian man who lost his wife and 3-year-old son in a capsized boat heading to the Greek island of Kos burst into tears as he identified his family in the resort town of Bodrum.
Turkish films to hit screen in Bodrum
The 5th Bodrum Turkish Films Week will be organized between Sept. 29 and Oct. 4 in the southwestern resort town.
At a press conference held on Sept. 22 at the Trafo Bodrum Hakan Aykan Culture and Arts Center, Bodrum Cinema and Culture Association head Cenk Sezgin said many films will be shown during the event this year.

VIDEO: Flood devastates Turkey's famous resort
Eight people were wounded and dozens of cars were swept away in flooding after heavy rain on the evening of Sept. 22 in Turkey's Aegean resort town of Bodrum, just a day before the start of the Eid al-Adha holiday on Sept. 24.
The rain began pouring on the town's neighborhoods on the night of Sept. 22 and quickly made streets and avenues unpassable.

Boat on the river
He would dream of being a veterinarian perhaps. Or maybe an engineer. From the war-torn city of Kobane, he and his family had come to the resort town of Bodrum. He imagined growing up there. Going to school, playing with cats on the streets, talking to the Yal?kavak farmers every Thursday while they put up their stands for the weekly farmers? market. ?Life could be nice here,? he imagined.
