Cleaning of areas burned by wildfires in Muğla continues
The cleaning process in areas in the southwestern province of Muğla's Bodrum and Milas districts, burned by wildfires that raged many Turkish provinces late July, has been continuing rapidly, with workers cutting some 40 percent of the trees in the region.

Mayor raises concern over soaring rent prices in Bodrum
The mayor of tourism hotspot Bodrum, located in the southwestern province of Muğla, has raised his concerns against the soaring monthly rental prices, complaining that public employees or workers will run away from the district.
Due to the pandemic, the monthly rent prices rose 10 times in three years, with landlords asking 5,000 Turkish Liras ($548) for a 45-square-meter house.
Famous Turkish actor becomes minimalist, moves to hotel
Defending a minimalist lifestyle, famous Turkish actor Nejat İşler has started living in a hotel room in Istanbul, saying that "life has fit in a backpack."
İşler, who was living in Bodrum, a world-renowned tourism hotspot in the southwestern province of Muğla, for over a decade, noted that he has currently moved to a hotel in Istanbul.
Bodrum among world’s best cities list of prominent magazine
Turkish resort town Bodrum has been featured in the Travel+Leisure 2021 World's Best Awards list, ranking as one of the best 25 cities in the world.
Istanbul, the country's largest metropolis, was also added to the same list.

Int’l Bodrum Jazz Festival in September
Organized by the Jazz Association with the support of the Culture and Tourism Ministry, the 5th International Bodrum Jazz Festival will start on Sept. 1.

At the festival, 10 Turkish liras of each ticket sold will be transferred to a fund created for the compensation of wildfire disasters in order to support the healing of the fire-hit Aegean resort of Bodrum.

TIME selects Bodrum as one of ‘World’s Greatest Places’
The world-renowned news magazine TIME has selected Turkey's prominent tourism hotspot Bodrum as one of the world's 100 greatest places in 2021.

Rhodes – The International Jazz Festival returns to the island
For the third year, the island of the Knights will be flooded with jazz tunes, as part of the Rhodes & South Aegean International Jazz Festival, the great celebration that proves that music can only unite people. Traffic deadlock as millions return home from holiday
Millions of people hit the roads across the country on July 24 and 25 to return home from the Aegean and the Mediterranean coasts where they spent a nine-day-long Eid al-Adha holiday.
According to data from the police, some 46 people died and more than 400 were wounded during the long holiday, with eight dead in the traffic accidents over the weekend.
