Historic Halicarnassus walls to come to light
A restoration project has been implemented to unravel the Halicarnassus Walls, which were built by the Karian Satrap Mausolos 2,400 years ago in Bodrum, under the scope of which salvage excavation, cleaning and landscaping works have been ongoing.

Bodrum to host jazz festival in September
The International Bodrum Jazz festival will be held between Sept. 1 and 9 with the support of the Jazz Association and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality.
September was chosen for the event because July and August were already high season in the Aegean province of Muğla's Bodrum district and organizers wanted to bring an activity at the end of the tourist season.

Bulgarians Evacuated from Hotel in Bodrum due to a Storm
Bulgarians found themselves in the eye of a storm in the Turkish resort of Bodrum. The ground floor of the hotel was literally submerged. An evacuation was required. The tourists were then moved to another hotel. The rooms there, however, were drenched in mold and moisture. There were also cockroaches.
Demolition of illegal buildings starts in Bodrum
The demolition of illegally constructed buildings in the Aegean province of Muğla's Bodrum district started on Sept. 28. Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum undertook field visits to the places where the demolition work occurred.

The Rhodes International Jazz Festival in Greece and the Bodrum Jazz Festival in Turkey have joined forces in an initiative aimed at building cultural bridges. As part of the initiative, titled "Jazz Across the Water," the organizers will be bringing Turkish jazz musicians to Greece and Greek acts to Turkey.
Eight construction sites sealed in Bodrum
Environment and Urbanization Minister Murat Kurum has announced that authorities have sealed eight construction sites, including four hotel and 1,611 dwelling projects, in the Aegean province of Muğla's Bodrum district on the grounds of their violating zoning regulations.
