Turkey's Bodrum shown to world 24/7 via live web broadcast

One of Turkey's most popular tourist towns, the western province of Muğla's Bodrum can now be viewed all around the world through 24-hour live broadcasts from cameras placed in various spots. 

With the initiation of the Bodrum Hoteliers' Association (BODER), test broadcasts started two months ago on the Internet. 

MHP office hangs humorous banner condemning violence against women after Istanbul bus attack

The district headquarters of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) in the Bodrum district of the western province of Muğla has hung a banner condemning the recent assault on a woman on a public bus in Istanbul for wearing shorts, saying "only a baby in her womb has the right to kick a woman."

Fifty-five people saved off western Turkey

Turkish security forces have rescued 55 migrants and refugees caught in a storm in the Aegean Sea off the southwestern province of Mu?la, the state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.      

Police said they rescued the group as they were attempting to reach the Greek island of Kos from Mu?la's Bodrum district on the night of Feb. 15.

82 migrants captured in Bodrum, as weather conditions worsen

Some 82 migrants in four inflatable boats, in attempt to illegally reach the Greek island of Kos, have been captured by Coast Guard teams on Nov. 8.

The weather conditions and current, along with the high number of boat passengers, have raised risks during the journeys. Despite the risks, some boats and their passengers have survived the journey.
