"The Kosovo Special Prosecution (SPRK), on its own initiative, on September 16, 2016, started a preliminary investigation into this case," prosecution spokesperson Liridona Kozmaqi told BIRN on Wednesday.
"Now the SPRK is awaiting the results of the preliminary investigation and the filing of criminal charges by police investigators," Kozmaqi added.

Arlind Manxhuka, a representative of the student organisation Study, Critic, Action, which has been protesting against the Orthodox church, told BIRN that its presence on the campus is unacceptable.
"The space where this building is built is an usurpation of the university campus," Manxhuka said.

David Schwendiman has been appointed chief prosecutor of a Hague-based special court to investigate war crimes committed during the 1998-1999 war in Kosovo.
