Turkey tests mid-range air defense system
The Turkish Defense Minister Fikri Işık has reviewed a test for Turkey-made medium-altitude air defense missile Hisar-O which is expected to meet the needs of the Turkish Land Forces Command.
"We have many systems developed by Roketsan and Havelsan corporations," Işık told the project's engineers after a test was conducted in the Central Anatolian province of Aksaray.

Turkish defense industry shifting to national operating system
Turkey's defense and aerospace industry will shift from its current foreign computer operating system to an existing Linux-based national software in light of security needs and license costs, according to the head of the state defense firm which has undertaken the project.

Anka, an unmanned aerial vehicle developed by the Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), carried out its debut missionary flight in the eastern province of Elaz?? on Feb. 5.
Taking off from Elaz?? Airport, Anka ("Phoenix" in English) ascended to an altitude of 19,000 feet to carry out a four-hour exploration and observation flight.

Turkey's 'national flagship' set to sail in 2021
Turkey's first locally-made flagship, recently named "TCG Anadolu," is set to sail in 2021, Turkish daily Milliyet has reported.
TCG Anadolu, which is currently being constructed at Sedef Shipbuilding in Istanbul, will become the "mother ship" of Turkey's navy as its largest and most well-equipped warship.
