Romania Parents Face Fines for Refusing Child Vaccinations

Parents who refuse to vaccinate their children after being informed of the risks this entails could be fined and their children could be prevented from attending attend public nurseries, kindergartens or schools, according to the draft Vaccination Law which is to be approved by the Romanian government.

20 Thousand People Sought Help at Pirogov Hospital just for July

20,000 people went through Pirogov in one of the two holiday months - July. 3340 patients had to remain treated, the University Emergency Hospital reported. For July, the uninsured people that sought help were 900 people. For the last day, 680 passed through the hospital, of which 32 without health insurance. 166 were admitted for hospital treatment. Hospital workers' union decries lack of a/c in many facilities

The POEDIN union of public hospital workers has issued an announcement decrying the absence of adequate air-conditioning at many of the country's hospitals as Greece braces for a heat wave.

"Conditions are worse than in prison," POEDIN said of certain wards where either there are no air-conditioning units or those that do exist are out of order due to a lack of funds for maintenance.

Cyberknife is Now Operational at Hospital in Bulgaria's Plovdiv
