Mitsotakis to speak in support on tax bill for self-employed on Wednesday
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis will address the Greek parliament plenary on Wednesday, during the debate on the Finance Ministry's new bill on Measures to restrict tax evasion, introducing new regulations for freelancers and the self-employed.
Parliament ethics panel agrees on lifting immunity of far-right MPs
The Greek Parliament's Ethics Committee unanimously agreed on the lifting the immunity of 11 lawmakers of the far-right Spartiates (Spartans) party, following a request by the Supreme Court which is investigating accusations of electoral fraud during this year's legislative elections.
The request will not have to be submitted to the Parliament's plenary for a vote.
Greek Parliament approves Igoumenitsa, Thessaloniki port bills
The Greek Parliament's plenary debated and approved two ratification bills on Tuesday evening, one for the port of Igoumenitsa in western Greece and one amending the concession for the port of Thessaloniki.
Both ratification bills were included in a bill by the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.
Androulakis to gov’t: You are bogus modernizers
"We will not give a vote of confidence to the government…we will be the reliable opposition the people need," socialist leader Nikos Androulakis said Saturday during the debate on the government's policy statement.
Androulakis' PASOK party came third in the June 25 election, with 11.84% of the vote, electing 32 MPs in the 300-member Greek Parliament.

Parliament to elect president on Tuesday, vote of confidence on Saturday
The new Parliament will reconvene on Tuesday for the election of the Parliament president and the presidium, based on the proposals of the parliamentary groups and parliamentary rules.
New Parliament sworn in; to be dissolved almost immediately
The 300 MPs elected on May 21 were sworn in Sunday afternoon.
The new Parliament, in which no party achieved an overall majority, will elect a Speaker and deputy speakers Monday. It will then be dissolved by presidential decree, either Monday or Tuesday, and new elections proclaimed, for June 25.
New ‘two-day’ Parliament to be sworn in on Sunday
The parliamentary deputies elected in the May 21 general elections will be sworn in at 6 p.m. on Sunday, in the presence of the President of the Hellenic Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou and caretaker prime minister, Ioannis Sarmas.

Second Greek election will be held under different electoral system
National elections on June 25 in Greece will be held under the system of "reinforced" proportional representation, which differs from proportional representation that the May 21 national ballot was held under, in that it allocates bonus seats in Parliament.
