At least four migrants dead after boat sinks off Lesvos

At least four migrants died after their boat sank northeast of Lesvos island in the eastern Aegean, according to a report by public broadcaster ERT.

It added that nineteen others survived and were subsequently rescued by coast guard personnel. They have been securely transported to the port of Mytiline.

A search and rescue operation is currently in progress.
