Bulgaria Arrests Norwegian Suspected of Terrorism Links

The arrests were announced by Norway's police on Wednesday and then confirmed by the Bulgarian authorities. 

Both detainees are Norwegian citizens. One arrest took place in Oslo, Norway, while the other was in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. The arrest in Bulgaria was done on a warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Norway.

Four Syrian soldiers killed by Israeli strikes near Damascus: state media

Four Syrian soldiers were killed and three others wounded in an Israeli air strike, a Syrian military source told state news agency SANA on Wednesday.

"The Israeli enemy carried out an air assault at dawn... targeting several positions around Damascus," the military source said.

Israel strikes government positions in Syria: state media

Israel carried out air strikes on government-held positions in Syria on Saturday, the state news agency SANA said, without reporting any casualties.

"The Israeli enemy launched an aerial assault from the direction of northern Lebanon targeting a number of positions in the central region," SANA reported, citing a military source.

Kosovo Sanctions Individuals and Company Linked to Hizballah

Seven individuals and one company linked to the Islamist terror group Hizballah have been put under sanctions by the Kosovo government following a decision taken by the US administration last month.

The decision, taken by Pristina authorities on Wednesday, was published on the government's website on Thursday.

Turkey conveyed its condolences to Lebanon on Oct. 14 after shootings in the capital Beirut left several demonstrators dead.

Expressing sorrow for the demonstrators killed by unidentified shooters during a protest held in Beirut on Thursday, a statement by the Foreign Ministry said it hoped those responsible would be caught and brought to justice as soon as possible.
