Highway patrol

An armed man clad in body armor who tried to breach the FBI's Cincinnati office on Thursday was shot and killed by police after he fled the scene and engaged in an hourslong standoff in a rural part of the state, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Ljubljana – The Slovenian police force got its first hybrid patrol vehicles on Tuesday which officials said will reduce noise pollution in settled areas and contribute to cleaner environment.

Ljubljana – A highway patrol unit is to be established in Slovenia at the beginning of next year in a bid to boost the enforcement of traffic rules and improve safety on the Slovenian motorway network. It is expected to eventually assume other duties as well, including prevention of crime and illegal migration.

In addition to traffic police, all police units and gendarmerie will now be able to fine drivers who do not abide by traffic rules, as per a circular note issued by the Interior Ministry.

After arriving at the crash site in Miami County before the paramedics got there Trooper Eric Devers run past a highway barrier the truck had smashed through and found the driver struggling to breathe. He immediately performed CPR on the man.
