Romania to host International Telecommunication Union Plenipotentiary Conference 2022

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) hasy signed an agreement with the Government of Romania for the hosting of the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2022 (PP-22) in Bucharest, Romania's National Communications Administration and Regulation Authority (ANCOM) reported in a press statement released on Thursday.

Romania, alongside the Russian Federation, Poland, Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic, on Monday was welcomed into the International Telecommunications Union Council (ITU-Council) after 137 of the 179 member states attending the ITU Plenipotentiary Conference 2018 voted in favour, according to a press statement released by the National Communications Administration and Regulatory Authority (ANCO
