Sofia in 30th Place in Terms of Rising Property Prices
Sofia ranks 30th among 150 cities in the world in terms of rising residential property prices, according to the Residential Cities Index. Residential property prices in the capital rose 5.9% last year, with an average increase of 3.2% for all cities in the ranking. It turns out that the real estate market in Sofia performs better than in most major cities around the world.
Number of vacancies falls to 41,800 in Q1
The number of vacancies in the first quarter fell to 41,800, and 29% of them are in the public sector, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS) released on Wednesday. Compared to the fourth quarter of last year, the number of job vacancies decreased by 5,300 while compared to the same quarter of 2019 the decline is 16,400.

Eurostat: 41.6% of the Bulgarians are Living in Overcrowded Households
In the European Union (EU), 17.1% of the population were living in overcrowded households in 2018, meaning they did not have enough rooms compared to the size of the household. Although merrier, overcrowded households can feel even smaller with kids playing in the same room as parents trying to telework during the coronavirus lockdown.
