Five fugitives caught in Thessaloniki
Police in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, have arrested five fugitives and wanted persons convicted of or wanted for various crimes.
One of the arrestees is 55-year-old man against whom authorities in Corfu had issued a pending arrest warrant for fraud while he had also been convicted to a total prison sentence of 11 years for fraud, embezzlement and extortion.

Turkish Airlines receives new plane, expanding its fleet
Turkish Airlines has received a new airplane, expanding its fleet, Bilal Ekşi, the CEO of the flag carrier has announced.
The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner joined the company's fleet on Dec. 31.
"In 2003, we had 65 airplanes. Now we are entering 2023 with 393 airplanes," Ekşi wrote on Twitter.

Türkiye's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) volunteers have drawn cartoon characters on the walls of a village school in the eastern province of Erzurum.
Some 15 AFAD volunteers have worked for community service since the earthquakes which occurred in Erzurum in June 2020 and in November 2021.
