Bulgaria's Average Salary Soars to BGN 2,000 in Q3 2022

Bulgaria witnesses a notable surge in average salaries, with Ministry of Labour and Social Policy data revealing an upswing in the third quarter of 2022. The report, published on the Ministry's website, showcased an average salary of BGN 2,000, marking a substantial 14.7% increase compared to the previous year.

Shock for several pensioners

The State General Accounting Office is demanding from pensioners the return of retroactive amounts that correspond to salaries higher than those to which they were entitled if they continued to work wider public sector entities after their retirement.

Serbian industrial turnover down by 2.5 pct y-o-y in August

BELGRADE - Serbia's August 2023 industrial turnover was down by 2.5 pct relative to the same month of last year, according to figures released by the national statistical office.

Relative to the 2022 average, it was down by 2.2 pct.

By sectors, the mining sector registered a 13.2 pct turnover increase y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover fell by 3.1 pct.

Serbian industrial turnover down by 7.1 pct y-o-y in May

BELGRADE - Serbia's May 2023 industrial turnover was down by 7.1 pct relative to the same month of last year, the national statistical office has said.

Relative to the 2022 average, it was down by 2.7 pct.

By sectors, the mining sector registered a 1.1 pct turnover decline y-o-y, while the manufacturing industry turnover fell by 7.3 pct.
