Navy records historic Navy shipwrecks in diving expedition
The Greek Navy completed the first phase of a diving exhibition to examine and record the current state of historic shipwrecks in the seas of Skaramanga, Saronic Gulf and Lakki, Leros, the Hellenic Navy General Staff (HNGS) said in a statement Wednesday.
4.1-magnitude quake strikes southeast of Hydra
A moderate earthquake struck in the sea area between the islands of Hydra and Serifos on Friday night, according to a preliminary reading of the Athens Institute of Geodynamics.
The epicenter of the 4.1-magnitude tremor was located 42 kilometers southeast of Hydra, at a depth of 13.1 kilometers.

Konstantinos Volanakis | Hydra | To October 31
The Hydra Museum presents an exhibition of 29 paintings by the father of Greek seascapes, Konstantinos Volanakis (1837-1907), curated to underscore the incredible skill behind his use of color and light. The pieces that comprise the tribute to one of Greece's most influential artists are on loan from the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation. Opening hours are daily from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Hydrofoil returning to Piraeus due to technical failure
A hydrofoil travelling in the Saronic Gulf, south of Athens, was forced to return to Piraeus port on Tuesday afternoon due to a technical failure that did not allow its hull to lift, according to state-run news agency ANA-MPA.
The vessel, carrying 86 passengers onboard, was on its way back to Athens's main port in slow speed.
