Output at hydropower plants declines in first half
Electricity produced by Türkiye's hydropower plants declined around 30 percent in January-June due to drought, while more drop in power generation is likely in August, according to a trading group.

Country’s largest solar plant now operational
Slovenia's largest solar power plant has been launched. Built for €5.5 million adjacent to the Brežice hydropower plant, it has a peak power of 6 MW, enough to meet the electricity needs of about 1,800 households.
What makes it special alongside its size is that it is connected directly to the 110 kilovolt transmission network and forms a hybrid system with the hydropower plant.

Power rate below 100 euros/MWh for the first time since summer 2021
Wholesale electricity prices have fallen below 100 euros per megawatt-hour in Greece for the first time in nearly 18 months.

Turkey breaks power consumption record on stifling hot day
Turkey's daily electricity consumption increased by 16.1 percent on June 28 compared to the previous day, reaching 988,379 megawatt hours, according to official figures released by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) yesterday.
