TİP withdraws support for Hatay mayoral candidate

The Workers' Party of Türkiye (TİP) revoked its endorsement of Gökhan Zan as the mayoral candidate for the southern province of Hatay amid swirling allegations just two weeks ahead of the elections.

"We have received various allegations that Zan has entered into relationships that our party would never approve," read a statement released by TİP, without elaborating further.

Mykonos: Archaeologist threatened in abusive text message

The Association of Greek Archaeologists has said that one of its members who works on Mykonos received a threatening message with abusive content.

The archaeologist reported the threat, which came in the form of a text message from an unknown number, to a prosecutor that deals with extortion and to the police.
