A tragic shooting incident unfolded in Athens today as a gunman, identified as a 70-year-old man of Egyptian origin, unleashed a deadly attack at the office of a shipping company. The assailant, who had been terminated from his employment, reportedly entered the building armed with a shotgun, leading to a harrowing ordeal for those present.

A disgruntled former employee shot dead the head of a Greek shipping company and two others before killing himself at the firm's office in Athens on Monday, a police spokeswoman said.

A 65-year-old man was killed in a traffic accident involving a police car in the Athens neighborhood of Moschato on Wednesday.

The man was pronounced dead at the Attiko Hospital, where he was transferred after being hit by the police car.

Pireaus traffic police are conducting a preliminary investigation into the accident. 

In Burgas, a monument was erected in memory of the police officers who were hit and killed by a bus full of migrants.

Five police officers were arrested in Sofia for concealing crimes.

According to the National Radio, the policemen are from the Metropolitan Directorate of Internal Affairs and some of them work in the 2nd Regional Police Department.

The police response to the worst ever mass shooting in Montenegro faced fierce scrutiny on Tuesday amid criticism about its speed and effectiveness.

Eleven people, including two children, died on Friday when a man identified as 34-year-old Vuk Borilovic opened fire on relatives and neighbours in the old royal capital, Cetinje. Borilovic was among the eleven killed.

BBC - Ten people have been killed and 10 others injured after a student opened fire at a Texas high school, the state governor said.

The attacker, who was arrested and charged with murder, was identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis, a 17-year-old pupil at Santa Fe High School.

He allegedly used a shotgun and a revolver taken from his father, who legally owned the weapons.

500 Albanian policemen have refused to check on whether they are corrupt and have left the country's law enforcement system, according to a news release from the Albanian Interior Ministry.
