Paper License Plates Leave Kosovo Drivers Frustrated
Agim Demaku, a resident of Pristina, is waiting impatiently in line at the civil registration office for provisional license plates that will enable him to drive abroad.
The contract with the company that supplies permanent plates expired months ago, and for now citizens of Kosovo can only get the temporary ones, which only Albania accepts.
Get submitted license plates back by paying road tax by the month
The Finance Ministry is bringing to Parliament a clause that will allow for the return of vehicle license plates with the payment of road tax by the month for owners who chose to hand over their plates to avoid paying the annual levy.

Traffic Police in Sofia Temporarily Suspends Registration of Vehicles
The traffic police in the Bulgarian capital has temporarily suspended the registration and renewal of registration of vehicles on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The suspension is the result of a technical issue experienced by the firm responsible for the manufacture of the licence plates, which hampers their delivery.
2 dead, 8 injured in highway crash northwest of Belgrade
Two persons died on Monday in a traffic accident on the highway near Pecinci, northwest of Belgrade, while at least eight others were injured.
According to initial information, a van with Croatian license plates and a truck collided.
Over 1,000 Old Cars Rotting in Sofia
Close to 1,000 old cars that are no longer suitable for driving, are rotting on the streets of Sofia. This contributes to the already heavy traffic in the capital.
All cars that don't have up-to-date registration plates and that have not undergone technical inspections over the past two years are considered to be no longer used.

Confiscated plates to be returned for Greek elections
As of Wednesday, drivers who have had their permits or license plates confiscated by police for minor offenses can reclaim them so they can vote in the upcoming general elections.
This does not apply to drivers who have committed serious offenses, such as driving under the influence, speeding, running a red light or driving an uninsured vehicle.

ICANN Approves Bulgaria's National Domain .BG in Cyrillic
The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) has approved the national domain of Bulgaria, the Ministry of Transport and Communications said, Tuesday.
This means that soon it will be possible to buy Internet domains which will be written entirely in Cyrillic.
