Regime attack kills 7 civilians in northwestern Syria

At least seven civilians, including children, were killed and three others were wounded in a regime attack on Syria's northwestern Idlib province early on July 22.

According to the Syria Civil Defense, or White Helmets, the regime and supporting terror groups conducted an attack on the Iblin village, south of Idlib, with ground-to-ground weapons.

Turkish, Russian forces carry out 8th joint patrol in Syria

Turkish and Russian forces have carried out their eighth joint patrol along a key highway in northwestern Syria, Turkey's National Defense Ministry said on May 5. 

"Within the framework of TUR-RF Agreement/Protocol, the 8th TUR-RF Combined Land Patrol on M-4 Highway in Idlib was conducted with the participation of land and air elements," the ministry said on Twitter.

Russian, Turkish presidents announce Syria cease-fire

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, say they have reached agreements that could end fighting in northwestern Syria.

They say a cease-fire will come into force in Idlib at midnight.

Putin also voiced hope that the deal would end civilian suffering and help contain a humanitarian crisis.

Two Turkish troops killed, six others wounded in Idlib

The Assad regime attacks killed two Turkish soldiers and wounded six others in Idlib, said the National Defense Ministry on March 4.

"We wish Allah's mercy on our martyrs, and condolences to their families. We also share our condolences with the entire Turkish nation, and wish a quick recovery for our wounded personnel," it said.
