Swedish parliament speaker visits Belgrade

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic met on Wednesday in Belgrade with Swedish Parliament Speaker Urban Ahlin.

According to the Serbian government, they discussed "bilateral relations, Serbia's EU integration and economic cooperation between the two countries, which will be significantly improved by opening the new retail store IKEA in Belgrade."

IKEA recalls beach chairs

International Swedish furniture design company has informed its customers to return its recalled its “Mystingso” beach chairs for risk of failing or finger entrapment. The company issued a statement urging customers who had purchased the specific chair before February 2017 to return the product to any IKEA store for a full refund.

PM tours construction site for IKEA's first Serbia store

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Friday visited the construction site of the first IKEA department store in Serbia, in Bubanj Potok, near Belgrade.

IKEA is a development project, not only for Belgrade, Mladenovac and Sopot, but for Smederevo, Smederevska Palanka and Pozarevac, all the way to Velika Plana, he said, announcing more investments in that part of the country.

Robbers break into Ikea store to steal ATM

Four hooded robbers on Monday night broke into the Ikea homeware and furnishings store near Athens International Airport in Spata, northeast of the Greek capital, and made off with an ATM, police said on Tuesday.

The robbers allegedly broke into the store's central doorway and removed a Piraeus Bank ATM, which they loaded into their getaway car.
