Bulgaria: President Radev Briefs EU, US Ambassadors on Caretaker Government Priorities

During a working meeting Wednesday with the ambassadors in Bulgaria of EU member states, Switzerland, and the United States, President Rumen Radev said, quoted by his  press secretariat, that one of the priorities of the caretaker government is increasing the transparency in the work of the institutions and winning back public trust in them.

On June 9, Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev held a video conference with European Parliament President David Sassoli.

During the conversation, initiated by the President of the European Parliament, the two discussed measures to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, as well as topics on the EU agenda with a focus on enlargement policy.

EU Parliament Will Send Mission to Bulgaria after US "Magnitsky" Sanctions

The monitoring group at the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) in the European Parliament will send its mission to Bulgaria, the European Parliament told BNR.
