Istanbul Airport named ‘Airport of the Year’

Istanbul Airport has been named "Airport of the Year" for the fourth time at the Air Transport Awards 2024.

In its five years of operation, the airport received the prize four times, demonstrating a remarkable achievement, the Air Transport News said.

The winners are determined by a vote involving more than 4,000 Air Transport News readers and aviation industry executives.

Istanbul Airport named ‘World’s Best Airport’

Istanbul Airport has received five honors in the 2023 Global Traveler Tested Reader's Survey Awards by Global Traveler, including "World's Best Airport" and "Europe's Best Airport," the airport's operator İGA Istanbul has announced.

This has further cemented İGA's position as a leader in global aviation.

Istanbul Airport claims no. 2 spot in world's best international airports

Istanbul Airport placed number two on a ranking of the world's best international airports, a survey by U.S. Travel and Leisure magazine found.

At less than three years old, Istanbul Airport made it to the upper ranks of the globe's top 10 airports in the World's Best Awards 2021 survey, said a statement by the Istanbul Airport Administration (IGA) on Sept. 9.
